Terms of Service
These terms describe what AnonExch does, what it refuses to do, and what you can hold us to. Plain language on purpose — a policy nobody can read is a policy nobody can rely on. Last updated 27 August 2026.
1. What these terms cover
AnonExch is a non-custodial cryptocurrency swap aggregator. It compares live rates across independent exchange providers, routes your swap to the best one, and never takes custody of your funds along the way. These terms apply to the AnonExch website, its Tor hidden service, the Android application, the payment gateway API, and hosted payment links.
Using the service means these terms apply to that use. They apply as written on the day your swap is created; see section 13.
2. We will never ask you to verify your identity
AnonExch operates no identity-verification programme, and will not introduce one. There is no KYC step, no AML questionnaire, and no source-of-funds or source-of-wealth request at any point in using this service.
Concretely, we will never ask you for:
- your legal name, date of birth, nationality, or residential address;
- a government identity document, passport, selfie, video call, or liveness check;
- a proof of address, bank statement, utility bill, or tax identifier;
- an explanation of where your coins came from or what you intend to do with them;
- a phone number, and — for swaps — not even an email address.
This holds at every amount. There are no verification thresholds, no tiers, no daily or monthly limits that unlock with documents, and no enhanced due diligence above some figure. It holds at every stage: not to get a quote, not to create a swap, not to receive your payout, not to receive a refund, and not to use the API.
We also do not verify the information you do give us. A destination address is an address; a refund address is an address. Nothing you enter is checked against a name, a registry, or a watchlist, because we hold no identity to check it against. Where an email address is used at all — merchant accounts, section 10 — it is a delivery channel, not an identity, and it is never verified against a real-world person.
The commitment in this section is not one we reserve the right to change. If AnonExch could no longer operate without collecting identity documents, we would stop operating rather than start collecting them.
3. No account, no registration
Swapping on AnonExch requires no account and no registration. A swap needs one thing from you: the destination address the funds should arrive at, plus an optional refund address we strongly recommend you set. There is no sign-up form, no password, no email confirmation, and no profile.
Each swap is reachable through its own unguessable link. That link is the only credential involved — keep it private, and treat it the way you would treat a receipt you do not want read. Because there is no account, there is no account to lock out, lock down, or lose.
4. Non-custodial by construction
AnonExch never holds your funds. Your deposit goes from your wallet to the exchange provider handling the swap, and the output goes from that provider to the address you specified. At no point does a balance exist in an AnonExch wallet with your name — or your session — attached to it.
This is a structural fact, not a promise about our conduct: there is no balance to freeze, no withdrawal to approve, and no funds for us to seize, hold, or condition on anything you do or provide. If AnonExch went offline mid-swap, the provider leg would still settle or refund on-chain.
5. What we store, and for how long
We collect no analytics about you. The site carries no third-party scripts, no advertising or tracking pixels, no external CDNs, and no fingerprinting. Every asset and API request is served from our own origin. We do not profile visitors, and we have never sold, rented, or shared user data with a third party for marketing, analytics, scoring, or any other purpose — nor will we.
What a swap does create, we delete on a schedule:
- The swap record — the pair, amounts, deposit and destination addresses, and status. Deleted automatically 24 hours after the swap reaches its final state. An order that never settles at all is deleted within 7 days regardless.
- A short abuse-prevention record — a request IP against the swap creation event, kept so that automated flooding of the service can be stopped. It is purged automatically within 7 days, by a routine that can delete nothing else. We do not read it to learn who our users are, and it disappears whether or not anyone looks at it.
- Support correspondence — if you email us, that thread is stored so we can answer it, and deleted 90 days after its last message. Writing to us is the one way to hand us information we would not otherwise have, so tell us only what the question needs.
That is the whole of it. We keep no permanent record linking a person, a session, or an address to a swap, and after the windows above there is nothing left to hand to anyone — including ourselves. Aggregate, non-identifying volume totals per provider survive, because they contain nothing about you.
How the same commitments are enforced in the architecture rather than in prose is set out on the privacy architecture page.
6. We do not monitor or score your transactions
AnonExch runs no AML screening, no chain-analysis scoring, and no address blocklist. We do not assign your deposit a risk rating, we do not check it against sanctions or watchlists, and we do not refuse, delay, or reprice a swap because of where the coins came from. We charge no surcharge on transactions deemed “high risk” — there is no such category here.
We do not require you to attest to your jurisdiction, your residence, or your status, and we maintain no list of restricted persons. Complying with whatever law applies to you is your responsibility, not something we assess on your behalf.
7. If a liquidity partner holds your funds
Swaps settle through independent exchange providers. Each is a separate operator with its own terms, and we select them on the condition that they do not impose identity verification on the swaps we route. Provider identities are aliased in our public interfaces, so a partner cannot correlate our users through us.
A provider can nevertheless stall an order or, in rare cases, ask for identity documents before releasing a deposit. Our commitment in that situation is unconditional:
- We will never forward such a request to you. You will not be asked for documents by AnonExch on a provider's behalf, and we will not act as an intermediary for their verification process.
- We return your deposit from our own reserves, to your refund address, up to the equivalent of $10,000 per swap — and then pursue the provider ourselves. The dispute becomes ours, not yours.
- A provider that demands identity documents from users routed through AnonExch is removed from the routing set.
Above that ceiling we will still refuse to relay any identity request to you, and will work the recovery with the provider directly; the reimbursement guarantee itself is capped at the figure stated above so that it is a promise we can actually keep. Set a refund address on every swap — it is what makes this automatic.
8. Refunds
If a swap cannot complete, your deposit is returned automatically to the refund address you provided, less the on-chain network fee required to send it. There is no claim form, no support ticket, and no waiting period, because there is no account to attach a claim to.
A refund is never conditioned on identity verification, personal information, documents, or a source-of-funds explanation. This applies to every refund, including a deposit an upstream provider has flagged — see section 7. The full mechanism, and the situations that trigger a refund, are set out on the refund handling page.
The one case we cannot repair is a failed swap with no refund address, because there is nowhere to send the funds. Always set one.
9. Fees and quoting
The receive amount shown before you confirm is all-inclusive: the provider's exchange fee, our commission, and the network fee for delivering funds are already deducted. There are no account fees, subscription fees, withdrawal fees, or dormancy fees, and we do not add charges after a swap is created. Full detail on the fees page.
Rates float. The figure in the widget is indicative; on confirmation the rate is re-quoted server-side and the order is created at the amount you accept. A deposit that arrives after the order's validity window is handled as a refund, not as a loss. How providers are compared, and why the ranking cannot be bought, is documented on the rate methodology page.
10. Merchant accounts and the gateway API
Businesses accepting crypto through AnonExch create a partner account with an email address and a password. That is the entire onboarding. We ask for no business verification of any kind: no incorporation documents, no beneficial-ownership disclosure, no director identification, no bank details, no proof of trading history — there is no KYB process here any more than there is a KYC one.
API access is by secret key, not by identity. Merchant payouts settle to an address you control; we hold no merchant balance and operate no float on your behalf. Everything in sections 2, 4, 5 and 6 applies to merchant use exactly as it applies to a one-off swap.
11. Availability, and what we do not do to your funds
We do not freeze, hold, seize, or claw back user funds, and we do not condition access to the service on identity, approval, or attestation. There is no account for us to suspend and no balance for us to lock.
What can happen is ordinary unavailability: maintenance, an outage, a network halt, or a trading pair paused by a provider. A pair that becomes unavailable mid-swap produces a refund under section 8 — it does not produce a hold. We may decline to serve automated traffic that is degrading the service for others, such as request floods against the API; that is an infrastructure measure applied to traffic, and it never touches funds already in flight.
12. Your side
Blockchain transactions are irreversible and we cannot undo them, so a few things are on you: enter the destination address correctly and on the correct network, set a refund address, keep your swap link private, and secure your own wallet and keys. We have no ability to recover funds sent to a wrong address or a wrong chain, and no ability to reverse a completed payout.
The service is provided as-is and as-available. Nothing on AnonExch is financial, tax, or legal advice, and rate comparisons are information, not a recommendation. Where liability can be limited, ours is limited to the value of the deposit for the swap concerned — which is precisely what the commitment in section 7 is designed to cover.
13. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the updated version is published on this page with a new date, and the change takes effect only from that date onward. A swap is governed by the terms in force when it was created; we do not apply changes retroactively to swaps already in flight, and we will not introduce a requirement that applies backwards to something you have already sent.
Section 2 is excluded from this: it is not a term we reserve the right to revise. Continued use after a published change reflects the terms as they then stand.
14. Contact
Questions, disputes, and anything covered by section 7 go to support@anonexch.io. We handle disputes directly with you, and we would rather resolve a problem than win an argument about which clause covers it.
