The price is a reference figure from our own rate feed, not a quote — every swap is re-priced across our liquidity partners at the moment you confirm, and the best receive amount wins. How that comparison works is on the methodology page.
About Bitcoin
Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system launched in 2009, secured by proof-of-work mining and capped at 21 million coins. Blocks are found roughly every ten minutes, which sets the pace of everything that happens on the network: a deposit is not spendable the moment it is broadcast, only once enough blocks have been built on top of it.
That ledger is completely public. Every transaction, every amount and every address is visible forever to anyone who cares to look, and chain-analysis firms make a business of linking those addresses to identities. Bitcoin is pseudonymous, not private — a distinction that matters the moment an address of yours is tied to your name at an exchange.
Because it is the deepest market in crypto, Bitcoin is also the cheapest asset to get in and out of. Nearly every route on AnonExch has a BTC leg quoted by more partners than any other pair.
Sending and receiving BTC
- Set a refund address. It is the only route funds have back to you if a swap cannot complete — a deposit below the minimum, or one arriving after the quote window closed. See refund handling.
- Nothing is held for you. Deposits are forwarded, not stored, and the data kept is the amount and the two addresses — purged once the swap finalizes. The full picture is on the privacy page.

BTC — common questions
How do I swap BTC without an account?
Pick the pair, enter an amount, and give a destination address and a refund address. There is no registration, no email and no identity check — you send the deposit from your own wallet and the funds are forwarded on. Nothing is held on your behalf at any point.
When is my BTC sent out?
As soon as the deposit has the confirmations the network requires — the exchange runs automatically, with no manual approval step and no queue on our side. You can follow every stage on the tracking page a swap gets the moment it is created.
Is there a minimum BTC amount?
Yes, and it moves with network conditions, so the widget shows the live figure for whichever pair you pick before you confirm. Minimums exist to keep on-chain costs a small fraction of the swap rather than swallowing it. There is no maximum.
