Exchange Cosmos (ATOM) to Bitcoin (BTC)
Cosmos deposits carry a memo field alongside the address — the single most common cause of a stuck ATOM transfer, and worth reading about below before you send.

- 10 ATOM

Those are reference figures, not offers. When you request this swap we compare live rates across several independent liquidity partners and show the best receive amount, which is what the order is created with. The partner's spread, our commission and the fee for delivering BTC to your wallet are already inside it — see fees and how the comparison works.
Prices move while you are reading, so the quote is re-priced server-side the moment you confirm. The one cost outside the quote is the miner fee your own wallet pays to broadcast the ATOM deposit.
Instant ATOM to BTC swaps
Every ATOM to BTC swap is processed automatically as soon as the required blockchain confirmations land — no manual approval, no review queue, no waiting period we impose. Your Bitcoin leaves for your wallet as fast as network conditions allow.
Minimum ATOM amount
Minimums are set per asset and move with network conditions, so the widget shows the live figure for this pair before you confirm rather than us printing a number here that goes stale. They exist for one reason: to keep the on-chain cost of moving ATOM and BTC a small fraction of the swap instead of swallowing it. There are no maximum limits.
A deposit that arrives below the minimum cannot be exchanged, and is returned to your refund address — which is why that address is asked for before anything is sent.
Before you send
- Send the memo with your deposit. Cosmos deposits carry a memo alongside the address; a deposit sent without the one shown to you is not automatically matched to your swap.
- Set a refund address. It is the only route funds have back to you if the swap cannot complete, and it is collected before you send anything precisely so that there is never a stuck deposit with nowhere to go.
If the swap doesn't go through
Most failures are mundane: a deposit below the minimum, a deposit that lands after the quote's validity window closed, or a route that stalls because a chain is congested or a partner paused the asset. In every case the funds go back to the refund address you set, without a support ticket or a manual step.
The full mechanism, including what happens when a deposit arrives late and how to follow a swap in progress, is on the refunds page.
What we can and can't see
This swap needs no account, no email and no identity document, because there is no mechanism here to collect them. What is stored is the amount, the destination address and the refund address — the minimum needed to execute and, if necessary, reverse the exchange — and it is purged once the swap finalizes.
Private mode routes the exchange so that no single party sees both ends of it, at the cost of slightly more spread and one extra settlement hop. The full architecture, and what it deliberately does not promise, is on the privacy page.
How to exchange ATOM for BTC
- 01Pick the pair and amount
Set how much ATOM you want to exchange. The widget quotes live across our partners and shows the best BTC receive amount.
- 02Give two addresses
Your BTC destination address, and a ATOM refund address in case the swap cannot complete. No account, no email, no identity check.
- 03Send the deposit
Transfer the ATOM from your own wallet to the address shown. Nothing is held on your behalf — it is forwarded on arrival.
- 04Receive your coins
Once the deposit confirms, the exchange executes and the BTC is sent to your address. Follow it the whole way on the tracking page.
ATOM to BTC — common questions
Do I need an account to swap ATOM for BTC?
No. There is no registration, no email and no identity check anywhere in the flow. You provide a destination address and a refund address, send the deposit from your own wallet, and the funds are forwarded to you.
What is the minimum ATOM amount?
It moves with network conditions, so the widget shows the live minimum for this pair before you confirm rather than quoting a fixed figure. Minimums exist so on-chain costs stay a small fraction of the swap instead of swallowing it. There is no maximum.
What is the largest ATOM amount I can exchange?
There is no upper limit set by us. Very large orders are bounded only by what our liquidity partners can fill at the time, and the widget will show the best available receive amount for whatever size you enter. No account tier, verification step or withdrawal limit applies at any size.
What happens if the swap fails?
It is refunded to the return address you set before confirming — that address is the whole mechanism, which is why it is asked for up front. Deposits below the minimum, deposits that arrive after the quote window closes, and routes that stall are all handled the same way.
Does my ATOM deposit need a memo?
Yes. Cosmos deposits carry a memo alongside the address, and the swap's deposit address is shared — the memo shown to you is what matches your transfer to your order. A deposit sent without it, or with one copied from an older swap, is not credited automatically.
