The trade is disclosure for reach: you give up the monthly attestations and take on an issuer with a longer and more contested history. Both remain freezable and both live on Ethereum, so keep ETH at the holding address for gas. • Match the network. Tether (ERC20) settles on Ethereum as a ERC-20 token, so your receiving address must be a Ethereum address. The same ticker exists on several chains and a payout to an address on the wrong one cannot be recovered.
• Send the right USDC. The deposit address is a Ethereum address expecting ERC-20 USDC. Sending the same ticker from another chain to it will not credit the swap.
• Set a refund address. It is where funds go back to automatically if the swap cannot complete. Without one a refund is still possible, but you have to contact support with your swap link and a return address first — see refund handling.

This swap needs no account, no email and no identity document, because there is no mechanism here to collect them. What is stored is the amount, the destination address and the refund address — the minimum needed to execute and, if necessary, reverse the exchange — and it is purged once the swap finalizes.
